Translations and interpreting: two “unique” sides, two extremely different concepts. There is a “difference ocean” between these concepts, for example, in the working process, the difficulty types. The difference is as clear as a day.
The translator usually has enough time to think about everything what he or she works at. He or she also has resources such as online dictionaries, articles and books at hand.
The interpreter has to translate “spoken line” from one language to another instantly, for example from Russian into English and from English into Russian. However, he or she usually has no time and possibility to use such resources as dictionaries or reference materials. He or she also has practically no time just reaction, so the professional experience is the key skill here.
